THINGS TO DO

visit Santa Cruz, the TEA museum, museum of nature with its mummies, the market and lunch in the fish department of a small bar outside, or walk over the bridge into the street with bars and restaurants (very alive in the evening)

the auditorium, designed by Calatrava

the beautiful park at the Ramblas with the nice bar

plaza españa, designed by our (almost) neighbor Jaques Herzog (Herozg&De Meuron), who designed the TEA museum as well. From Plaza España you walk through the “shopping area”

visit the historical center of La Laguna, unesco world heritage.

visit the Teide, book your cable ticket online, to avoid waiting time (it can be cold !) and drive around on the plateau and take another way down

Go to Las Gigantes and book a boat trip to see Dolphins and the cliffs of Masca

Masca itself is also a beautiful little place, but a long drive, you can organise a walk down to the beach and be picked up by a boat, only for serieus hikers

Drive through the Anaga woods and end at the beach for lunch in a fish restaurant together with the locals (for instance on a sunday)

Go to the North until Buena Vista del norte , and visit Garachico, a nice old village with famous natural pools.
